A short drive away is a mountain biker’s haven, built by mountain bikers for mountain bikers in Afan Forest Park. The park also provides numerous trails for walkers.

The Museum of Welsh Life St. Fagins which offers a walk through history as you explore St. Fagins castle grounds and folk park.

Castell Coch, which is truly a fairy tale castle sitting high over vertical cliffs and surrounded by wooded glades in which you can walk. Many other castles are also scattered around the south Wales area.

The Welsh Valleys, which are full of mining history, and where you can visit a real coal mine at the Big Pit Mining Museum.

Swansea, Mumbles, and the Gower, which offer another city visit in Swansea with its indoor market, a Victorian seaside walk in Mumbles with its strip of pubs along the Mumble’s Mile, while the Gower provides great natural beauty, walks, country pubs, and some of Britain’s best beaches.

Brecon Beacons National Park offers you walking, hiking, and beautiful vistas. You can ride the train through the park or visit the Dan-yr-Ogof caves, the largest caves in Western Europe.
